Welcome Zed’s Ethiopian Cuisine to the Piedmont
Zed’s Ethiopian Restaurant has opened a new location in Gainesville. Zed’s has marked its territory in Georgetown and has a great reputation for quality. If you are not familiar with Ethiopian Cuisine I recommend that you start with the combination platters– a good way to really experiment with the flavors. The bread, called Injera– a fluffy, spongy, sourdough pancake– is used as your utensil, for scooping up the tasty dishes. I must say that the collard greens gomen are one of the highlights of the meal, perfectly done, and absolutely out of this world. This new little darling also has a great wine bar, with an impressive list of wines, including several local wines. Hidden in a strip mall, yet very convenient to 66 & 29. Well worth the journey! Thank you for coming to the Piedmont, Zed’s!
