Blessing of the Hounds. Nov. 27, 10 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. The first Blessing of the Hounds was held in 1929 and has been held every year since then. Tracing its roots from St. Hubert, the patron saint of hunters, it involves formally attired foxhunters, their horses and hounds, and combines prayers for blessing and protection along with thanksgiving for the harvest.
